While this may be true for someone who has never ridden one or put any serious seat time on a trike - it is far from the truth. Once you know HOW to ride one - they are no more dangerous than a 4 wheeler. It just takes more work and skill to make them do what you want them to. Driver input - something that weekend warrior 4 wheeler owners don't know anything about. Turn the handle bars on a quad and they go that way. Trikes take body english - once you know what you are doing I find them much more "flickable" and manuverable than any quad. Also - they have the obvious HUGE lighter weight advantage.

Also - I'd love to see you back up that some states have out-lawed them! They are perfectly legal everywhere! It was an Import ban that was placed on 5 ATV manufacturers in 1986 that stopped their production. The "consent decree" expired in 1996 - and if a manufacturer wanted to (obviously there is no market for them anymore) it would be 100% legal to start making them again.
