I just received a letter from an attorney representing Bob Schultz Motorcycles. It seems that my previous posts have gotten him quite upset. PLEASE READ THE POSTS. It just so happens that the attorney who sent me this letter is also the owner of that dealership. The address on his letterhead is the same address as the dealership. Before you read this letter (exactly the way it was written), please note the poor grammar, and the unprofessional way in which it was written.
Dear Mr. _________
I represent Bob Schultz Motors, Inc.
I suggest you withdraw your e-mail from the posted forums and chat rooms before I have to take further action.
You complained to my client’s Service Manager of a ringing noise. Your cycle had a bell attached to it. My client told you you would have to pay for non-warranty work and recommended you return the vehicle to the dealer who recently performed a 5,000 mile service. That dealer is responsible for its workmanship.
You stated no grounds for warranty consideration. You complained of a rattle. Your cycle had a bell on it. Obviously anyone with common sense would suspect the bell was the cause of the ringing noise or would return the cycle to the dealer you paid to perform the 5,000 mile service.
Very Truly Yours
_______________
Attorney at Law
I took the bike to another dealer, and it was not the bell. The sound I heard was a knocking from lack of oil. That was due to a valve seal issue with the ’05 models.
