Default Does a motorcycle clutch slip when really hot?

I have a 07 suzuki sv650 with 1400 miles on it. I was trying to do a burnout in first gear at about 8000 rpms, slowly engaging the clutch. After a few minutes, when trying to ride normally, the clutch wont engage completely and slips horribly. Have i ruined my clutch or does it need to cool down?
