if you go utility it's pointless unless it's 4x4 so if you don't want a 4x4 then don't go utility, sport atvs are faster and you can do a lot on them and utility atvs are bigger, have 4 wheel drive so you can go through many different places, have a higher ground clearance but not as fast. At your age I had a sport atv and my dad had a 4x4 I liked the sport a lot better and we only used the 4x4 for work and hunting. Both are good for trail riding if you have a lot of wooded trails you may want a 4x4 if they get muddy. A 250-450 sport is a good beginner atv and a 350-500 4x4 is a good size for a utility. Yamaha, suzuki, and honda make the best sport atvs old and new and can am, arctic cat, yamaha, kawasaki make great 4x4 atvs. Getting a 2x4 utility atv is just boring.
