I'm not talking about the law but in general. Like you can start driving a car at age 15 but it's not legal. Same thing. Oh and is it hard to learn to drive well or not?
thnx So can I start at age 12 or 13? BTW no one is teaching me |

5's too young for a 90. a 50 would be a better choice {waiting till the child is at least 8 is better still}. it's not as easy as just pointing the atv in a direction and giving it throttle. the child has to be able to comprehend proper cornering, accelerating, breaking, distance/speed perception, and be able to stay focused to avoid dangerous situations while riding. i've been riding for 30 years {started when i was 10}, both of my kids started with the proper sized atv's when they were 10. if you are the one who is going to teach a child how to ride, or provide them with the atv that they are going to use, it's your responsibility to take a riders education course.

I think a kid can learn at age 5. Its very easy once you get the hang of it. the only problem with at age 5 is that you need a smaller atv i would suggest a 90 but yes its very easy. Just pull and u go faster let off and you slow down same as a car except you pull a lever and squeeze the brake.
