need help with **passing atv ignition!?

i lost the key to my quad and now i am "hotwiring" it to ride for the holiday until i can get a new ignition. there are 4 wires, a red, black, brown, and red with black stripe-as far as i figure the red and black are hot and ground, but 3 of these wires need to be touching-so what do i do????
