timing marks
On the flywheel (behind the pull starter - pull it off) there will be a "T" and an "F" mark - for Timing and Fire.
Then on the head (pull off the CDI cover, and pull the CDI and Drive out) until you can see the cam shaft. On the Cam shaft, you'll see the top timing sprocket - it has 2 bolts holding the sprocket to the camshaft. right beside one of those bolt heads you'll see a "O". Line it up with the mark on the casting. It should be pointing at 9 o'clock when the engine is setting in the bike.
