is it bad for my 4-wheeler to turn off when taking off?

when i first started riding it kept turning off because i let go of the clutch to fast and it turned off. is this really bad for the quad or does it barely harm it? i let my cousin ride it to but he messes up sometimes. is it really bad?
its a new 2007 suzuki LTR450
