I have a 01 Trail Boss I paid 1500 for and a 99 Sport 400 I paid 1600 for so take it from there

You did not mention whether it was a Predator 500, a Ranger 500, a Scrambler 500 or a Sportsman 500. Depending on what it is, could be worth anywhere from 3300 to 4400. But, being in the business, I wouldn't buy anything that Polaris makes. Sorry.
