Good used ATV locally......?

I am wanting to buy a good used ATV locally. I am looking for a size range between a 250 and 300 cc. Can someone help me with this and maybe tell me where to look.....maybe online or elsewhere .....and what kind of inspection should i do on the ATV when i find one to make sure im not getting ripped off.
