What is causing My ATV to stall after about 5 minutes of riding?

It is a 2002 honda recon.
i was thinking mabe the carb needs cleaned out or mabe dirty gas. but im just guessing.
And like i said it runs fine until after about 5 minutes then when you stop it stalls.
PLEASE help
