Its a Foreman. 300 I think. Anyways, I pushed it backwards while it was in first gear. It didn't give me any resistance so I thought it was in neutral. Now it will not go down into neutral. It is one of those push button gear shifter. Now, I am not too mechanically inclined, somewhat but not a whole lot. Is this something I can fix? I know I probably bent something in the tranny but I am wondering how much trouble it will be to fix or how much it was cost me to have it fixed. Thanks.

If it has push-button gear shifting you'll need to take it in to the shop to have it fixed. You need to be very good mechanically to work on a standard shift ATV transmission, but you REALLY need to know what you're doing to work on push-button shift transmissions. Trust me on this one -- if you try to fix it yourself you'll probably do more harm than good. Leave this one to the professionals.

If you were able to push it while in gear and there was no resistance then your clutch is either worn or not engaging at all or the gear cams are broken. You can fix it yourself IF and ONLY if you have some experience in this kind of field, but if you don't I advise you not to even try, just take it to your local bike shop and let them do it for you. It might cost you a couple hundred to do it but that is only a drop in the bucket than if you were to try and do it yourself.
