AGP bus is a old standard which is no longer supported

You may have a hard time finding an AGP card, and the price is higher than the modern PCI-E cards. Keep that in mind

Geforce 6600GT is the best option. it performs well and worked well with a wide range of CPU.

Actually a system is limited ** your CPU and RAM as well, a fast video card alone is not going to run a PC game without any problem .

Considering that you have an ok system, get either the 6600GT or 7600GS

They both were popular cards during their generation, most probably you can find a 7600GS since its 1 generation after the 6600GT

Performance wise, they are roughly the same.

And always make it clear that you are looking for a AGP version of it

Both card comes in PCI-E version as well, don't get the wrong one or you won't be able to even slot the card in

Yes, at the end of the slot, there's a clip, release it and pull out the card.

Slot in the new card, the clip will lock into its place if the card goes in correctly

Make sure the clip is secure before running it.

And AGP card may require an extra 4 pins power cable to be plug into the card itself. you can tell ** the 4 pin socket at the end of the card.

Locate any free 4 pin power cable and plug it in before turning on your PC. The cable should have a yellow cable, you can't go wrong
