Default What would happen to my 4 wheeler if I took the exhaust off of it?

I've got a Polaris 400 4x4 and I was thinking what it would do to it whether it would have engine damage or be like a truck and just be loud.

Its going to kill the low end torque, allow cool air to creep into the head when you shut it down and possibly cause damage/warpage that way, its going to cook anything in front of the motor because there will literally be fire coming out at times, that includes the front plastics on your quad... its going to sound like garbage. And finally, its going to go extremely lean and past any point of adjusting it back to richen the mixture...causing the bike to run hot, and probably burn the piston and/or valves up.

re you talking about taking the whole exhaust off, or just the end can? Either way, the bike is going to lose power, and run hot..

Nothing right off but will not be good for it. It causes the carb or fuel injection to not do right and causes valves to cool wrong. It is not a good idea on a truck niether. Have you not notice gas mileage go down on a truck if you make the exaust to free flowing.
