That's hard to say, you may need to get a Bill of Sale from former owner, then have a title search done. You may want to call your local county police or DMV to see what is required, because it all varies ** state. Some only need a Bill of Sale, others might require more forms, contacting last legal owner to get signature on duplicate title, etc. Could be easy, or a hassle. But the best bet is to check with whatever local Gov't org does Titles, and find out what you need from THEM. No point asking the other 49 states and DC, we don't really know.
