From: tomarieal@juno.com RE: Honda of Leesburg, Leesburg, FL - upset with motorcycle purchase This is in reference to a Honda Motorcycle dealer in Leesburg, Fl. I bought a motorcycle there and the cycle did not have the original exhaust on it. The exhaust that was on the cycle was very loud and not pleasant to hear. The dealer told me that the obvious owner did in fact have the original exhaust and he would put me in touch with the other owner after I bought the bike to get the original exhaust from him which was very quiet. After the sale the dealer said they in fact do not release the information on previous sale people as they don't want to invade their privacy. I told the dealer that I just wanted the mans phone number so as to deal with him on the original exhaust. They refused. This was all done after the sale and they got my money!! They told me [after the purchase] it was not their policy to invade an ex customers domain with questions from a present buyer. They also sold me a motorcycle with a bad clutch in it that I had to replace on my own all in the span of a week or two after I purchasd the cycle. This was after they told me the cycle was in excellent condition and thought it would make me a good investment. The saddlebag bracket was broke half off and they concealed this from me. I had to also fix this on my own. The clutch incident was another matter. They said they would fix the clutch after much verbal admonishment on my part. They said they would fix the clutch on a 50/50 basis. After checking with other Honda dealers in my area I found out that they were charging me full price and then some for a 50/50 job. The other dealers were going to charge me some $100.00 less than they were. So as you can see I am a bit upset to say the least. The dealer is.... HONDA OF LEESBURG 2408 WEST MAIN ST.
