Default Sticky rear drum - what's the fix?

My motorcycle's rear drum brake has started sticking/dragging when I apply too much brake, like 50% pressure or more. It will either drag or lock until the bike comes to a complete stop, then it will release and be free. Its odd to me because it only drags when moving, but once I stop, it easily frees up.

I'm planning on opening the drum up, but wondering if anyone else has experienced this and may know what the problem may be.

The bike is a 1985 Honda Magna VF500C, so I'm assuming something may be rusty or in need of lubrication...

yes I would say tear it apart and make sure it is lubed up really good. also if your brake shoes are wore down too far it will allow your braking arm to swing to far and get stuck.

The internal return springs may be broken or have stretched. Also the brake cable may be sticking. Check the cable if it's good just buy some new pads with the springs and a can of carb cleaner.
