Default Is it illegal to dress up like a California Highway Patrol (CHIPS) motorcycle cop?

Renaldo and I LOVE to dress up in little outfits. We have a little bar in the neighborhood that caters to the cop and military look so we have the outfits already. Renaldo also kind of looks like Erik Estrada from behind.

We discussed dressing up like Highway patrolmen and stopping guys that ride any other bikes than a Halry and giving them fake tickets because we love riding our Halry’s so much. And also pulling over all the cars filled with hot guys as well!

Our dance cards would be filled if we can pull this off! One small question though…

Is it illegal to do this?

Just to "chip" in yes it would be illegal to give a ticket, but I don't think it is illegal to dress the part. Not sure why you would want to single out non-Harley riders if you are going to do the whole CHiP's theme as they rode C-Series Kawasaki's in the 70's TV show.

Even though it has been scientifically proven that the majority of Harley owners have a strong propensity towards homosexuality, that doesn't make impersonating an officer ok. I suggest hanging out at some of your local leather bars - they're the ones with nothing but Harleys and custom built choppers out in front. Not my lifestyle, and I don't know for sure, but I hear that those guys will really get into the whole dress-up role playing thing. I mean, just look at any Harley guy - frilly leather, chaps, shiny motorcycle thats all about image instead of riding - you have to be gay to ride a Harley. Good luck - have fun - use lots of lube, but don't worry, all Harley guys also have really small units, so it shouldn't hurt too much.
