Default 1979 KZ 400 project?

I have a 1979 Kawasaki KZ 400 that doesn't run. Rather than rebuild the motor on it, I'm toying with the idea of replacing it altogether. Does anybody know if there is a more powerful replacement that might just bolt-up without too much welding having to take place. (And without having to add a bunch of electronics.) I want to keep most of the KZ's old school look, but not so much that I don't want to ride it everyday.

I have a 75 kz 400 with no title. I was looking for a frame with a title, but I have too many other projects for now.
