another biker question about learning to ride?

from my previous questions about buying a new gsxr 1000 or 750 people keep saying no, get a weak used bike and learn first... But im 19, I dont know if I can afford an used bike and then a new one.... are there such thing as bike training courses where they teach you to ride or something? and also I dont want to buy an ugly weak bike and then get use to it and end up having to save a bunch of money again to get the one I want.
