My X7 pocket bike pull start doesn't work.?

i have a X7 pocket bike and the only way for me to start it is to use my electric start. When I try to use the pull start it fights back and wont do anything. I don't know what's wrong and I'm afraid using the electric start will ruin the motor. please help!
