1984 suzuki 125dr, just ran, now it wont?

i just got the bike and it ran pretty good, and ran even better when i got a new spark plug for it, started first time. The next day, i went to start it after 2 hours of riding the day before, and now it won't start. The bike was sprayed with a hose, and i tried to clean the carb and am almost positive i put it back correctly. Whenever i try to kick start it, either nothing happens, there is a popping noise out of the muffler, or the kick start kicks back up. The bike ran perfectly fine yesterday, so any ideas?
