Default 2008 kawasaki ninja 250R or used bike for a starter?

i am 16 have my permit but no bike i love kawasaki and there ninja and was wondering wethr or not it would be worth it to purchase a ninja 250R 2008 or get a used one for my first bike.

The 250 is a good bike, but I would start out on a used bike. You're going to be hard on your first bike. You're going to abuse the clutch. You might even drop it once or twice before you get the hang of it.

If you got a bike that had a few bruises and scuffs on it, you could sell it after 6 months or a year for about what you paid for it, and ** then you'd have a better idea of what you wanted. And all that time, while you were having fun riding the bike, you could look forward to your NEW bike. 8^)

the brand new 08 250's are bad ass looking. Getting a used one would probably be the best answer.. but if you want a brand new one throw a cage on it to protect the plastics and frame.
