Questions about 1994 Yamaha FZR-600. MPG, Load limit, etc?

Hey-
I am looking for as many answers to the MPG question as possible, so I can get an average.
Does anyone know what the load limit is? i.e. how much weight it can carry?

Has anyone switched from a ninja 250 to a fzr 600? I am about 5'8 and 140 pounds, will this bike be too big for me? I've been riding for a few years but I'm nervous about the transition up... almost any 600 is going to run a good 100 pounds heavier than my ninja. Is there a better (older) 600 out there, sportbike wise? I am looking for, in order: reliability, mpg, weight, speed, load capability, price.
