mini moto quad?will not start can any one help me ?

my mini moto quad will not start i can t get a spark off the plug iv pulled the plug out to see if it was sparking and i cant see any thing i need to sort this out for my son,s b-day in 3 days so can any 1 help me please

i take it this is a chinese bike (ordered off the net)?

they don't come tuned.... do you know anything about engines? if not take it to a shop that works on smaller engines... it will need some adjustments... which with chinese bikes there is rarely some setting you can find to put it to... you basicly have to know what you're doing and play with it til you get it right...

the idle screw is key tho... on my bike it came screwed in all the way... wasn't adjusted or anything, as soon as i opened it up some my bike started just fine... some further tuning a couple days later i had it dialed in perfectly..

pull the choke up, open up the screw a bit til it'll run with or without you holding the throttle slightly (don't high rev it... keep it as low as you can while keeping the bike running...) you need to make the final adjustments while it's at operating tempature...

and keep in mind just because when you got it tuned in while hot, it may still be a bitch to start cold... mine is... but once it's warmed up it runs just fine...
