Honda CBR 1000 F Not Working
I just bought a 1987 Honda CBR 1000F Hurricane last week but the it had problems the very same day I got it. It was working fine before i dropped it But the lights and everything used to still work after that, it was just a problem with the engine starting. I tried jumping it with my car and it worked a few times until I stalled, but now, for some reason, it just doesnt. It doesnt even show any lights, not even any LED's when I turn the key. Nothing at all. Its completely dead. I tried push-starting it but no luck. And yes, the kill-switch is flipped to run. Just yesterday a friend came over to check it out and he **passed the battery ** hooking jumper cables to just the leads of the bike that connect to the battery and tried jumping. Still no luck. Returning the bike is not an option. And i have no money left to bring it to a bike shop. How should I diagnose this problem and fix it?

Thank you all in advance.

Check the main fuse.
If the fuse is good, try the next test -

Install the battery (make sure it has a good charge) - remove the main fuse - test both terminals of the main fuse with a 12v test light - with the key "on", one of the terminals should have battery voltage.
If not - check the ignition switch (it might be unplugged).

With the battery installed - the main fuse installed - check for battery voltage at the ignition switch RED wire.
If none - could be dead battery, bad connection at battery terminals and/or negative cable to ground.

yeah, kinda sounds like wiring issues, not mechanics. i dropped my gsxr a few weeks ago and it works just fine. mine is a 2001 and has crash pegs on it. i walked away with a bit of road rash but the bike had only cosmetic damage. still runs great.... be safe out there man. check the wiring and fuses.
