Default 81 Yamaha 400 leaking gas out of air filter?

I have a 1981 Yamaha 400 and it is leaking gas and what looks like oil out of the left air filter. My crankcase smells like gas, and now it looks like there is oil leaking out of my carbs... I don't even know where to start... Please help

Most likely it's just a stuck ,or out of adjustment, float. If you haven't taken a bowl off a carb before, ask a buddy to help ya out. Give it an oil change after ya fix'er & before you start it.

Shut gas off.
Drain Oil and carb float bowls.
Un-Stick or repair float.
replace oil and turn gas back on, should be fine then.
