Default question about a dr 750 over heating in seconds?

i have a suzki dr 750 and it was stolen and i got it back and now when i start it it gets hot in seconds and stops can anybody help thanks

if i got this bike right, its air cooled, things I would check is.
a) make sure it has oil.
b) Did they mess with carb lean/rich setting.
c) did they change timming, or points gap.
d) Is it a normal spark plug.
e) Drain fuel and replace, who knows what they put in there !

Rock base is correct.It sounds like they put a smaller main jet in the carburetor or advanced the timing to far.Good luck.
