GSXR 96! buying question?

I am thinking about getting this bike. it has 53000 miles on it but it looks good. I have not had a chance to check it out myself because it is so far away. he wants 3000 for it. Anybody who has some time in this field ie selling or just knows enough can you help me out. is it a decent price or should I keep looking.
