Default What are some good sounding loud pipes to put on a 2003 Road King Classic?

Is there anything I have to change. (Fuel injected bike.)

Yes,.. if its a FI bike you must change the fuel map. The most popular modification for a Harley is a good set of Reinhart, or Rush, or Screamin' Eagle Slip-ons, and go to your local HD house and have what they call a Stage 1 download.... it takes about 15 minutes and basically sets the RPM limiter a little higher, advances timing just a skosh and richens the fuel up to avoid it running lean.
I personally went with the Screamin' Eagles, Stage 1 computer flash, a set of #26 Andrews gear drive cams, and a Screamin' Eagle Hi-flow breather.
I ordered the slip-ons from Surdyke HD...There may be someone that has them on special right now...Try Ebay?
The main reason I went with the S/E mufflers is they have a deep, rich throaty tone. Not obnoxiously loud, but noticeable when I shower down on it. (AND they were less expensive than the Reinharts,& Rush) The full systems, like the Vance & Hines, Cobra, and the other systems sounded hollow and hurt performance...especially the "shotgun" type. The only other system I saw was the D&D "S" system... its badazz, but very expensive..made over in Ft Worth. You may like it.They say its worth every penny.

Some of the best sounding pipes in my opinion are the Vance & Hines Dresser Ovals and the Bub Rhinehart Tru Duals. If you have a high flow air cleaner and add new pipes you'll probably have to have it re- mapped.
