Default can someone explain the pitch on pwc...

...impellers? mine is a 16-26 what do two numbers mean? thanks.?

One is the diameter(size) of the prop ( 26"?)....the other is the pitch(16"?).... which means the the prop will theoretically ....travel forward 16" each revolution....the lower the pitch.... the more pulling power you will have.....but a slower top speed......... the higher the pitch..... less pulling power.... but a higher top speed....A general all around good pitch for a family boat is a 19" pitch.....BUT THE OVERALL PERFORMANCEOF THE BOAT..... DEPENDS ON THE HORSEPOWER AND THE SIZE/WEIGHT OF THE BOAT....AND OTHER FACTORS...
