Can anyone tell me about Seadoo boats? looking for a shore boat.?

I have a friend that works for seadoo and is able to get me great prices on overstock older boats they are blowing out. Namely theres a speedster i can pick up for half the price, but it looks small for what i want. I will be using it primarily down the jersey shore, ortley beach in the bay and very close to the shore in the ocean. Would this boat work is it too small, are any other seadoo models good for this kind of work.
