Default Jet ski engine doesn't start.?

When I start the engine, there is one initial spark, and then nothing. What could be the problem?
I removed the sparkplug to see if it works. Well, as I said, there was ONE spark at the beginning, but then no more. So, the problem is not with the carb or fuel injection. It's the sparkplugs.

When you say spark do you mean fires up for a moment?
If it's a two stroke try pouring neat fuel into the cylinder then heat the sparkplug up until very hot on a naked flame re-insert into engine then try firing it up from there.

Engines need to be "winterized" if they are not going to be used for a long time. The problem is that gasoline turns into thick sludge if left unused for months.

The first thing is to get fresh gasoline. Then second it to clean out the carb (if it uses carbs). Then go to homedepot and get "starter-fluid" and squirt that down the throttle. And give it start. They usually sell it for gasoline lawnmowers.

You may have to repeat that few times. Eventually all the bad gas will burn up and you'll get started again. Keep that starter-fluid handy for next time. Once an engine gets fouled up, it never starts easy again.

Good Luck.

p.s. If you have fresh gasoline, then just try to starter-fluid.
