what sounds would my jetski make to tell me im low or have no oil??

ive had oil problems but sometimes imscared to ride it becuase i think theres no oil. what sounds would it make to tell me im low on oil? its hard to sheck the tank becuase it looks like the same level all the time.

I'm guessing a grinding sound. Also if it is a leak the oil will get on the outside of the cylinder and burn up causing alot of smoke to come from below the seat.

If it is low on oil it will gradually get slower and noisier till it goes clunk and wont start back up as the engine will be siezed.
