you can get an oil block off plate online...just google it. what it does is it cuts off the oil injection and you have to premix the gas with oil. so the only way you could be low on oil is if you are low on gas. the plate is only like 12 bucks or so. its worth it over having to replace you motor because there's a lack of lubercation. hope this helps.

If the tank level seems to stay the same, just use premix. You don't really have to block off the pump. Use a 40 to 1 mix, and plug the hoses (out hoses) on the pump. Remove the tank, drain the oil, and use it in your pre-mix. Leave the pump in place, no problem.

You can make your own block off plate out of a piece of metal with a couple of holes drilled in it, or even use duct tape to cover the pump hole.

It MAY sound a little higher in pitch because it may run a tad bit on the leaner side. I'd most definitely look for a way to be able to check the oil. My ski use to use a tank of oil per 3 tanks of gas, but mine was very easy to see. How old is the ski? There's no oil light???
