Default Is it absoloutely necessasary to be able to swim in order to jet ski?

I know that being able to swim would make it much easier to go jet skiing but i dont know how to swim enough and i really want to jet ski.

Well, its no problem unless you fall off....but its absolutely necessary to wear a life jacket while riding one of those things sooo if you can swim in a life jacket pretty well you should be fine. But remember, they are dangerous and the boats don't look for you so you have to be aware of the boats. Good luck and have fun!

Most states require you to wear a PFD when jet skiing so more then likely you should float if you are knocked off into the water which happens more often then you think. You need to be able to swim far enough to get back to your machine if you are put off it.

If you are wearing a PFD(Personal Flotation Device) you will be fine.

No, not really. But like everyone else said, a life jacket would help!
