why are pwc rentals so expennsive?

I understand jet skies are a $10,000 item, but $1400 a week is awful steep in my mind. is it the insurance, maintiance, or is this just a huge money making opportunity?

I am not sure where you go for that? it's not that expensive.......try to find a used one for about 3000 dollars....then you will have one...that's almost half of your weekly.....
Otherwise, go to the area you want to vacation, ask a local to rent his for half that...or if he doesn't use it, offer to buy it from him for 1000 dollars.....
That does work....I have three now using that....
