is it legal for 10 yr olds and older to ride jet skis and boats?

my dad's friend says that its legal to let 10 yr olds and ppl older to ride jet skis and boats. i don't no if it's true or not.

i believe it varies ** state...in illinois u have to be 15 to drive a boat

Tthe law may vary from state to state and province to province, but, generally a kid under 16 has to be under the direct supervision of an adult. That doesn't mean an adult sitting in a beach chair having a beer, that means an adult on a jet ski, or in the same boat.

In Australia you need a license to drive either. 12 years old for RESTRICTED BOAT/PWC LICENSES and 16 for FULL.

Yes, any age can ride in a jetski or boat. Just make sure they hold on, and where a life Jacket, a good one I may add. But, to get a watersport license, I think you have to be 14 or 15, and then you can get your boating license and water sports license.

umm well its illegal if you are under 14 and dont have a permit and are driving the jetski **e urself. but you can be on it with someone and they have to control it. i have been living on the water my whole life &&im 13.
