Default Can you beach a jet ski?

I have seen countless people ride their jet ski's right up to the beach and park it. I know getting sand in the system isn't good for it, and there are procedures stated in the manual to clear out debris, but can beaching it really harm it in the long run?

If you shut it off and coast to shore it's not to bad. Better to pull it to shore. Then pull it out in the water and the sand that gets in there will wash out. Yes it can plug the cooling lines and overheat it you beach a running engine. Even driving in shallow water can ruin them. It's a big vacume under the ski and it will **** up sand.
