What to look for when shopping used jet skis?

I'm going to look at a couple of used jet skis over the next couple of days. I've owned fourwheelers and dirt bikes, but never a jet ski so this is a little new to me. What kind of things should I look for when looking at used jet-skis?

area: get one that was probally only used in fresh water, you can use them in salt water but they require extra cleaning each time you get out of the water if you run them in salt water.

mmaintenancelike any machine, you want to make sure its been upkept generally speaking they really don't require much work, a new battery every few years, winterize and summerize, change gear oil every 2 years, and fix anything that is broke down.

Body: check the hull (bottom) to see if it has any major gashs or cracks from someone landing it to hard, and check the overall condition, if someone keeps up the outside they probally keep up the inside
