01 kawasaki 1100 stx oil issue?

I have a 01 kawasaki 1100 stx jet ski. What's the best way to figure out if I'm getting proper oil injected to cylinders (oil flow at all)? The ski runs great for about 10 minutes, then the check engine light/warning light comes on, and engine is retarded. I don't think I'm getting proper oil flow. I've been adding oil to the gas 50/1 ratio because of this. The light still comes on. Is this the proper oil to gas ratio? It doesn't seem to be over heating, water is flowing out of the pee hole fine.
