yamaha 2-stroke motor Jet Skis?

Just bought two 2000 & 2001 yamaha xl1200 2-stroke jet skis. Don't much about them and do not have owners mannual. Can't get them started, pulled plugs and they were wet with oil, are they suppose to be like that?
