I know the problem. I have 2 gallons of gas that is three years old that I don't know how to get rid of. I keep adding to it from my mower.I have thought of diluting it ** putting 1/4 gallon in my car each time I fill up, but I am worried it will cause a problem. I am not suggesting you try this method out, but if you do use the gas in the jet ski, fill it the rest of the way up with fresh gas. I don't know if a higher octane gas would be of any help either.Call car talk @ 1-888-227-8255 and ask them. They like questions like this.

If your jetski has a 4 cycle engine, it would be best to filter the old gasoline leftover from last year. If your gas tank has been closed up all winter, there is a risk of moisture accumulation in your gas tank. You would want to siphen out any water, at least from the bottom of your gas tank before stirring it up with ski activity. Normally, the U.S. cars and trucks do not pick up fuel from the bottom of the gas tank so as to not draw contaminated fuel into the combustion chamber. Look in the bottom of your fuel tank with a flashlight to see if there appears to be any separation of fuel and H2O.
