it won't work.i've not done it, but i wondered why, instead of all that fancy aqualung stuff, we didn't just put a hose in our mouth, and breathe in through the hose.so, i did an experiment.using my normal lung power, i could draw water, from a bucket, up 2-3 feet in the hose.which means that i could draw air down into the hose about 2-3 feet.no more.your engine could draw air about the same depth.if you had a compressor, you could get a little deeper.you'd also have trouble pushing the exhaust out under water.the water would surely like to come back in.the air tank probably would not work either.it just takes more air than the tank could supply for more than a very short time.want'a try it?get the largest balloon you can find, and make a stopper, so it'll fit tight on the exhaust.when the engine's running, plug the balloon in, and see how long it takes to fill it up.cool idea, mind you.i like it.unfortunately, just because we both like it won't make it work.
