Default To replace a snowmobile crankshaft, how do I place it to check if it's keyed to a 3 o'clock position?

In other words, at what angle do I look at the old crankshaft to see how it's keyed?

The throw needs to be straight up for top dead center.throw is where rod hooks on for number 1 cylinder.
