1999 Ski-doo MXZ electrical problem?

the snowmobile has a rebuilt motor, it runs great but the tach does not work, and the lights do not work. I'm thinking that it is a ground wire, but do not know where to start looking.

Brown is ground on most snowmobiles also make sure all the wires in the plugs are making contact.It just trial and error unless a wire is obviously unhooked.
