Went thru the Ice more times than I care to remember. lost on of my sleds in 10 feet of water damn near lost my life in that one always ride with some one else behind or in front of you with space to stop. for this reason is why the newer snow sleds have a seat that unsnapes and floates. to save your life. we still check the ice first but **** happens. I carry rope, flares, munchies and enough fire starter to melt a small lake in my pack straped to me not the sled.woods nut bushman
