snowmobile engin is running weird?

my 1980 moto-ski mirage is only running on both cylinders half the time it runs on one and after a few minuets it will kick back on with both cylinders

i half tried changing spark plugs and that only works for a short time then it dose the same thing

any ideas on what the trouble is and how to fix it would be of much help

I don't know anything about snow mobile engines per se, but I would suggest you check the fuel and air filters and replace them, especially the air filter if you have over choked your machine. Take them with you when you go shopping for replacements. Also double check on the kind of gas you are supposed to be using and make sure you aren't using old gas.

Could be the cable that brings the power to the spark plug, check and see if there is any visible damage (such as a cut in the wire etc....)

you might have bad points or condenser or a bad ground or coil
