Default 1997 Ski-doo Formula 500 Snowmobile?

my husband is looking at this snowmobile and keeps begging me for it. I really wanna buy him a nice sled, but It's 1,000 dollars and I wanna know if thats a good price or too high of a price for that kind of sled??
Milege: 2560

Description;
497 CC Rotax liquid Cooled motor, starts & runs great, new carbide runners on the skis, includes a new spare belt, a original ski-doo cover

Condition:
This sled is in good condition & it starts & runs great, it is ready to hit the trail. The front lower cowl has a little piece missing, not noticeable from side of machine. The sled has been stored inside, the red color is still bright & the seat is not torn or ripped.

A lot depends on if he wants to be able to go through the powder of stay on the groomed trail. If that sled is only going to be used as a trail sled then it should good enough. In the powder that sled might not have enough power to keep him going and he will be stuck. For a trail sled that price would be about right.
